2. What data we collect
2.1 Enquiry and configurator form
When you use our product configurator or contact form, we may collect:
- Full name and company name
- Email address and phone number
- Location type and installation preferences
- Message content you submit voluntarily
2.2 Partner portal
Authorised distributors using the Partner Portal may have the following stored locally in their browser:
- Company branding details (name, email, logo)

The Partner Portal uses browser localStorage only. No personal data from the Partner Portal is transmitted to our servers unless explicitly sent via email.
2.3 Technical data
When you visit our website, standard server logs may record your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. This data is used solely for security and performance monitoring.
3. How we use your data
We use the personal data you provide to:
- Respond to your enquiries about our products or distribution programme
- Prepare and send configuration offers or quotations
- Communicate information relevant to a potential or existing business relationship
- Improve our website and product configurator experience
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
4. Legal basis for processing
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process personal data on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — to respond to B2B enquiries and manage partner relationships
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — when processing is necessary to fulfil a distribution or sales agreement
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — where you have explicitly opted in, for example by submitting an enquiry form
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — where required by applicable law
5. Data sharing and third parties
We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share data with:
- Email service providers — to deliver responses to your enquiries
- PDF generation tools — configuration offers are generated client-side using open-source libraries (jsPDF); no data is sent to external servers
- Legal or regulatory authorities — only where required by law
Any third-party service providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
6. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary:
- Enquiry data: up to 24 months from last contact, unless a business relationship develops
- Partner account data: for the duration of the partnership plus 3 years for legal compliance
- Server logs: up to 90 days
Data stored in your browser's localStorage is entirely under your control and is never retained by our servers. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.

- Right to restriction — to limit how we process your data in certain circumstances
- Right to portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Right to object — to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior processing

8. Cookies and local storage
Cookies
Our main website does not currently use tracking or analytics cookies. If we introduce cookies in the future, we will update this policy and request consent where required.
localStorage
The Partner Portal uses the browser's localStorage API to save configurations, settings, and lead data locally on your device. This data does not leave your browser unless you explicitly send it (e.g. via the email or PDF export features). You can clear localStorage data through your browser settings at any time.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Restricted access to internal systems
- Regular review of security practices
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you suspect a data breach, please contact us immediately at info@worldautomatics.com.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
For material changes, we will notify active partners directly by email.
